Todrick Hall To Appear In Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ Music Video

It looks like Taylor Swift has tapped YouTube triple threat Todrick Hall to appear in the music video for her comeback single Look What You Made Me Do.

The music video will premiere during MTV‘s Video Music Awards on Sunday, though a teaser released this morning (see below) showed Hall in a lineup of dancers behind Swift bedecked in skimpy black outfits. And it turns out that Hall has been a member of Swift’s infamous friend squad since 2015, after he posted a mashup video of her hit songs that has clocked nearly 5.8 million views. Swift supported Hall during his run on Broadway in Kinky Boots, and the two even reportedly spent Thanksgiving together last year.

Hall has yet to officially confirm his appearance in Look What You Made Me Do, though he has tweeted his effusive praise for the song:

Swift, who also reportedly sought to befriend YouTube superstar PewDiePie back in 2015, isn’t the only pop star to look to the digital realm for a major music video release. Swift’s pop music rival Katy Perry, for instance, cast burgeoning vlogger Christine Sydelko to appear in her Swish Swish music video, which also featured Molly Shannon and Terry Crews.

The lyric video for Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do is currently No. 1 on YouTube’s ‘Trending’ page — though she has been critical of the platform’s treatment of artists in the past. Look What You Made Me Do is followed on Trending by Swish Swish.
